Not a "funk band"
[edit]The Egg is no more a funk band than Mozart is a Baroque composer. The Meters are a funk band. Larry Graham had a funk band. Sharon Jones and The Dap Kings are a funk band. The Egg is an Electronic dance music band, as far as I can tell, maybe House_music, I don't know. I think it does disservice to both The Egg and to true funk bands to categorize The Egg as simply, "funk."
Their web site says, "live house, rocktronic, funk and ambient influenced dance music." Funk-influenced? Sure. But not "Funk Band."--GlenPeterson (talk) 15:29, 15 September 2011 (UTC)
